A Little About Me....
Welcome Students! My name is Ms. Werner and this will be my 10th year teaching at Sinaloa. Previously, I taught 8th grade at Hill Middle School until it closed. This year I am teaching 2 sections of 8th grade English and History and a 8th grade AVID Elective.
Some of my hobbies include...playing the cello, writing poetry, cooking, reading, taking photographs, playing tennis, hiking, camping, canoeing with my dogs on the Russian River and spending time with my pets (a shepherd-lab rescue and a Jindo mix rescue dog from North Korea who really looks like a white wolf). I love animals and being out in nature.
I hope that as we go on this 2019 - 2020 class journey together, you will discover many things about yourselves and your peers that will help you to grow as individuals. My hope for all of you is to see that the future of this planet lies in your hands. With your brilliant minds and your compassion for others and the world, you will make this a better place one day at a time. You will get so much more out of your experience in my class if you can learn to rely on one another, trust each other and care about one another. I hope you will join me in making this a memorable 8th grade year here at Sinaloa! I want this to be a year you will never forget!
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
